On May 15, the 335t intelligent, environment-friendly and high-efficiency torpedo car developed and manufactured by DHHI rolled off the production line successfully.
This torpedo car, integrated with driving and power supply devices, achieves unmanned operation through ground control and navigation system. In operation mode, it can achieve “leaving upon ladle being filled up”, and there’s no need to wait for the locomotive car. Compared with traditional transport mode of “locomotive car plus torpedo car”, the transport turnover can be increased by 2.5 times, this effectively slowed down the temperature drop of molten iron and reduces the consumption of fuel oil. For example, for an annual production of 15 million tons of molten iron, 4000 tons of standard coal can be saved per year, thereby reducing 10000 tons of Co2 emission, with significant energy conservation and pollution reduction effect. Meanwhile, this car is equipped with high-efficiency motor controller and permanent-magnet synchronous motor that are widely applied in new-energy automobile, with higher electrical efficiency and complete with electric braking energy feedback function, this enables the kinetic energy from vehicle operation to be converted into electric power to achieve recycling and continuous use. Compared with traditional transport mode of “locomotive car plus torpedo car”, the transport cost is reduced by more than 50%.
