A few days ago,China’s first set of castings developed, manufactured and with independent intellectual property right owned, by Dalian Huarui Heavy Industry Group Co., Ltd., for the highest-capacity 8-10MW off-shore wind turbines, successfully rolled out.

This set of castings for 8-10MW off-shore wind turbines includes hub and elbow, which can achieve interchange in off-shore wind turbines ranging from 8-10MW. As the critical core components for off-shore wind turbines, the hub and elbow is complex in construction, large in overall size, with a weight of over 50 tons individually, NDT requirement being level Ⅱ or above, mechanical property requirement being “dual performance”(the same requirement for -20℃ and -40℃low-temperature performance), with great difficulties for manufacture, surpassing the European Material Standard.
