Recently, 3-ladle casting of rudder horn for 319,000t crude oil tanker was successfully completed in DHHI. This rudder horn belongs to super-sized casting that needs 266 tons of molten steel, with a net weight of 167 tons after finishing. During casting, 3 ladles are needed to pour molten steel simultaneously, therefore it’s difficult to organize the production.
