TheChina’s largest-capacity furnace independently developed by DHHI for RKEF ferronickel production line was successfully put into operation in Shandong Linyi Xinhai New Material Co., Ltd. on January 6, 2019.

DHHI, on the basis of firmly seizing the domestic market share for ferronickel furnace in recent years, always focuses on technical innovation and upgrading in the fields of energy saving and environment protection, continually expands the domestic leading advantage, and applies the internationally advanced smelting process RKEF to make full-range technical upgrading for project of large ferronickel furnace production line and auxiliary system that is contracted. The Shandong Linyi Xinhai ferronickel project applying DHHI’s advanced technology is currently the largest project for producing high nickel-base material in an energy-saving and environment-friendly manner inChina. On the basis of DHHI’s successful construction of twelve 33MVA ferronickel production lines for project Phase Ⅰ, another eight 48MVA ferronickel production lines for project Phase Ⅱ continue to use the further innovated and upgraded energy-saving and environment-protection technologies of DHHI, with the largest capacity for individual furnace currently, and being the first time for using SCR denitration technology to achieve, for the first time, ultra-low emission of particle, nitrogen oxide and sulfur dioxide prevailing over GB (China National Standard), in China, which will become a new generation of landmark product with prominent advantage in technology and environment protection for domestic ferronickel furnace.

Upon completion of this project, the output of pure nickel will reach 122,000t/year, approximately 26.5% of the total domestic ferronickel output in 2017. This will lead the development of domestic ferronickel smelting technology and be of profound significance for nickel-base material construction projects forChinaand for countries along “The Belt and Road”.
