Recently, the signing ceremony for YAWATA continuous casting project between DHHI and NIPPON STEEL&SUMITOMO METAL was held in the international conference room on the 13th floor of DHHI’s headquarters. This is another significant achievement from sincere cooperation between NIPPON STEEL & SUMITOMO METAL and DHHI. It symbolizes that both parties have taken one more critical step forwards based on favorable strategic cooperation at previous stage, which is of milestone significance. 

 
This is the most important project with the Komatsushima steel smelting technology integrated into the YAWATA continuous casting equipment and is deemed important and extremely challenging by NIPPON STEEL. In this project, NIPPON STEEL is responsible for design of general drawings for main process equipment in small square billet casting line and DHHI is responsible for detailed design and manufacture of main unit, thus achieving an in-depth cooperative transformation from manufacturing as per the drawing and delivery by unit in the past to joint design and batch supply of packaged process equipment at present.
